President Ranil Wickremesinghe has issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification allocating 3 institutions to the Ministry of Investment Promotion.

According to the Gazette notification, the institutions that will come under the purview of the Ministry of Investment Promotion are: the Sri Lanka Export Development Board, the Sri Lanka Investment Board and the Colombo Port City Economic Commission.

Until now, these institutions were under the Ministry of Finance.

Meanwhile, due to President Ranil Wickremesinghe's departure to attend the funeral of late Queen Elizabeth II, MP Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has been appointed the Acting Minister of Finance.

In addition, Dilum Amunugama has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Investment Promotion.
