70% agree to abolish the executive


A recent poll has revealed that 70% of the people in Sri Lanka agree to abolish the post of Executive President.
Verité Research conducted the poll. According to the survey, only 15% said that the position of the executive presidency should be continued subject to any amendments. The remaining 15% have not expressed any opinion in this regard.
This information was revealed in a survey conducted by Verité Research covering the entire island last June.
Verité Research is an independent research institute and think tank in Sri Lanka providing strategic analysis in economics, politics, law and media.
