A meeting between the Swiss Ambassador to Sri Lanka Dominic Furgler and the Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles was held yesterday (15) at the Ministry of Public Security. Swiss Ambassador Dominic Furgler has told the Minister of Public Security that he will provide the necessary technical assistance to improve the Sri Lanka Police and conduct training workshops for police officers. Giving further comments, the Swiss Ambassador has also discussed the importance of protecting human rights and the importance of establishing the Truth Commission. It was mentioned that the Minister of Public Security, Tiran Alles, emphasized that the truth commission should not be one-sided.
