Ali Sabri lets out Ranil’s plan to sell the entire country for $5000 million
Foreign Minister Ali Sabri has stated that Sri Lanka is preparing to obtain the most extensive loan stock of 5,000 million dollars from multilateral agencies in one year in addition to the expected loan facilities from the International Monetary Fund.
This has been reported by the government’s Dinamina newspaper (December 15), and this news has been published citing a statement made by Minister Ali Sabri to the foreign media. The minister has stated that in the coming year (2023), the assets of the Sri Lankan government will be restructured to 08 billion dollars (8,000 million dollars).
It is prepared to borrow 5,000 million dollars from abroad within one year by restructuring the assets of the Government of Ceylon in this way. Despite the preliminary assessment that a compensation of 10 billion dollars (10,000 USD) can be obtained from the Express Pearl ship that burned near the port of Colombo, they are preparing to get this loan after all the assets of the Government of Sri Lanka have been assessed at 8,000 million dollars.
