All Opposition parties jointly write to EC demanding LG Polls

By: Isuru Parakrama Colombo (LNW): All Opposition parties of the Parliament of Sri Lanka have jointly submitted a letter to the Election Commission demanding the holding of the Local Government Election on March 19, in compliance with the Court order. Accordingly, the letter was signed by MPs of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), National People’s Power (NPP), Tamil National Alliance (TNA), Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA), Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC), All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) and breakaway fractions of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
