ATA to be tabled in Parliament this week

By: Isuru Parakrama Colombo (LNW): The proposed Anti-Terrorism Bill will be tabled in Parliament this week, said Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe. The move comes in amid severe backlash from a number of parties calling the the proposed bill a direct blow in the head against democracy of Sri Lanka. The Minister revealed that he expects to present the bill to Parliament for the first reading on Wednesday, April 26, adding that the proposed Anti-Corruption Bill be submitted to Parliament in the subsequent month.
