A meeting was held between the new Canadian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Mr Eric Walsh, and the National People’s Power leader Comrade Anura Kumara Dissanayake, this afternoon (10) at the JVP head office.
Mr Gobinath Ponnuthurai, Political Officer of the Canadian High Commission and Comrade Vijitha Herath, Member of Parliament, National Executive Member of the National People’s Power, were also present for this meeting.
Sri Lanka’s current economic crisis and the current political situation were discussed here, and the National People’s Power congratulated the new High Commissioner, Mr Walsh, for his upcoming duties.
