Central bank gets new governing body

The new Board of Governors for the Central Bank of Sri Lanka has been appointed under the provisions of the recently enacted Central Bank of Sri Lanka Act No. 16 of 2023.
Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe chairs it, and the other members of the new Governing Body are President’s Counsel Sanjeeva Jayawardena, Nihal Fonseka, Dr Ravi Ratnayake and Anushka Wijesinghe.
These members are also members of the Monetary Board of the Central Bank.
