A shortage of coconuts could occur in the market in the future due to the export of nearly two million coconuts to Pakistan in two months, the All Ceylon Traditional Coconut Oil Manufacturers Association said.

Convener of the Association Buddhika de Silva said that since the upcoming period will be a period of low coconut yield in Sri Lanka, the situation can further intensify by exporting coconuts in this manner by the Coconut Development Authority.
