The daily demand for LP gas has reduced slightly due to people using gas sparingly, Litro Gas Lanka Limited Chairman and CEO Muditha Peiris said.

The company also said that new LP gas cylinders will not be released to the domestic market until December this year.

This decision has been taken due to a new project implemented by the Litro Company where Sri Lankans living abroad can order new LP gas cylinders for their relatives living in the country.

The new project was launched as a solution to the US Dollar crisis in the country.

Accordingly, Mr.Peiris said that a significant number of Sri Lankans living abroad have ordered new LP gas cylinders by paying US Dollars.
