A meeting between the French Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr Jean-François Pactet, and the leader of the National People’s Power, Anura Kumara Dissanayake took place yesterday (17th) afternoon at the head office of the Janata Vimukthi Peramuna.
National Executive Member of National People’s Power, Member of Parliament Vijitha Herath was also present for this discussion.
At this meeting, the current economic and political situation in Sri Lanka was discussed, and the Anti-Terrorism Act and the postponement of elections were also discussed. Also, considering the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and France this year, National People’s Power has taken this opportunity to congratulate the continuous Sri Lanka-France relationship.
