President Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to appoint former Secretary to the President Gamini Senarath to the position of Senior Advisor to the President.

It is reported that Senarath will receive the relevant appointment letter next week.

A former Prime Minister's Secretary and President's Secretary, Gamini Senarath is a veteran administrative officer who has held many senior positions in the Sri Lankan Administrative Service for more than 35 years.
