Gota wants all privileges
The media has revealed that ousted President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has requested all the privileges granted by the Sri Lankan government to former presidents.
He is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka in early September, and after that, he has requested the official residence, security and pensions provided by the government to former presidents. It is also indicated in the relevant media reports that Mr Sugeeshwara P. Senadheera is coordinating these activities with the eighth President, Ranil Wickremesinghe, on behalf of Gotabaya.
There is a fierce struggle within the Rajapaksa family against Gotabaya Rajapaksa, and Udayanga Weeratunga is acting as its spokesman.
