Aruna Jayasekara, former Commander of the Eastern Province of the Sri Lanka Army and the head of the Retired Tri-Forces Forum, emphasized while addressing the District Conference of the Retired Tri-Forces Forum held in Kurunegala today (20th). He said, “Where the Kurunegala district conference is held, a wave has been created that goes beyond just a wave. This organization was founded by five people. Now it has spread at the district level and also to the Constituency level when we organized the branch at Merigama Constituency. We all know why this organization was established. Recognizing the potential of the NPP and recognizing the qualities of honesty, integrity and qualities that other parties do not have, the Retired Tri-Forces Forum has also joined to work with them. It is very difficult to get good people together to do something good. Nevertheless, it is very easy for bad people to get together and do bad things. Moreover, it is very difficult to include a good thing in a bad society. In such a situation, everyone in the Retired Tri-Forces Forum should dedicate themselves to getting power for the NPP. I have changed and joined the NPP by changing my way of thinking. We are trying to bring our honesty, trust and ability to the next generation. All along, the JVP’s thinking was different from other politicians. They have been telling their story. Today, the NPP is carrying out that work. You and I are here because what they said since then is true. Elite politicians want to maintain today’s economic collapse, moral collapse and loss of trust in one another. The aim of that elite politics is to keep the people poor and helpless. However, we can stand here and talk without being guilty because we have done all our efforts for 30 years to give good to the country. However, today, in a fight between life and death, people leave the country and immigrate illegally. This country has been brought to such a low position by the rulers. Therefore, this country, which has become a black country and a failed state, should be built with a group that has a new vision. We have already discussed a national security policy to prevent this country’s moral decline, drug and crime wave. There are solutions to all of them in our national security policy. We would definitely ensure the safety of everyone in this country by bearing the responsibility and accountability of our national security policy. A national security policy is made by integrating all sectors like the economy, education, agriculture and irrigation. Such a policy should not be limited to documents. Together with the NPP, the citizen’s safety is confirmed first. The citizen should be protected first. We are building a country where women are protected from violence, minimize car accidents, etc., and where the rule of law operates without politics. This country has been made poor by the group that has been in power for many years by changing sides. Food safety will be given a major place in our national security policy. Energy, too, would have a prominent place. As active participants, we will make our country, which has been made the most defeated state in the world, into a state that is accepted by the world. We request that we gather all our abilities and form a government of the NPP and move forward.
