Kshenuka also gets a presidential advisor post
Appointed President Ranil Wickramasinghe is establishing the official mechanism by appointing the required officials. Today (28th), President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake appointed Professor Shenuka Seneviratne as the foreign president’s senior adviser on international media.
In addition, Professor Sunanda Maddumabandara was appointed as the President’s Senior Media Adviser today. Out of the two appointments, there were several controversial incidents regarding the past performance of Professor Kshenuka Seneviratne.
During the Rajapaksa regime, there was a lot of controversy regarding her involvement in an incident where Sri Lankan High Commissioner Dr Kris Nonis was attacked in London. Also, maintaining very close diplomatic and economic deals with the members of a banned organization in Sri Lanka was heavily discussed during 2008-2010.
Also, information was revealed regarding Namal Rajapaksa, Ajith Nivard Cabral and Kshenuka Seneviratne regarding serious financial crimes committed during the international campaign to get the Commonwealth Games to Sri Lanka.
