MFA confirms request to China to defer Yuan Wang 5 visit
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sri Lanka has issued a statement with regard to the situation surrounding the Chinese vessel Yuan Wang 5.
The statement notes that 'the Ministry has communicated to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Colombo to defer the visit of the said vessel to the Hambantota port.'
