The new Ambassador of Oman to Sri Lanka H.E Ahmed Ali Saeed Al Rashdi called on the Speaker Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena recently (25) in Parliament.

Commenting on the need to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between the two countries, the Ambassador drew attention to the importance of forming the Sri Lanka- Oman Parliamentary Friendship Association.

Discussions were also held on Investment promotion opportunities between the two countries and making arrangements for business delegations from the two countries to visit. The speaker commended the support given to Sri Lanka by Middle East countries including Oman and expressed his appreciation to the ambassador.
