91-year-old Dr Navamani Chandra Bose came from Melbourne to meet the Indian Prime Minister in Sydney, The Australia Today reported. "Very happy today and it's going to be a great event," she is quoted as saying by ANI. Dr Navamani Chandra Bose was accompanied by her daughter. A chartered Qantas flight was rebranded as 'Modi Airways' and it brought his fans from Melbourne and 'Modi Express' buses are being chartered from Queensland, according to a report in ABC News. About 20,000 supporters are expected to attend the Indian PM's event at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney Olympic Park. It is one of the biggest indoor stadiums in Sydney which had earlier hosted international stars like Bruce Springsteen and the Backstreet Boys. The PM's event is organised by the Indian Australian Diaspora Foundation to celebrate the country's dynamic, diverse Indian diaspora. The 91-year-old is the wife of NS Chandra Bose who was the President of the Indian Medical Association from 1991 to 1992. Her husband had also served as the President of the Tamil Nadu State BJP from 1995 to 1997. Reports claim that there were 177 people in 'Modi Airways'. Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese will also attend the special community event. "The Indian Australian community is excited to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi after nine years. He visited Australia in 2014 and was greeted by a large crowd at Sydney's community reception," Jay Shah, one of IADF's directors, told the Special Broadcasting Service.
