People have a just right to oust this regime – Anura Dissanayake

NPP leader Anura Dissanayake emphasizes that the people have a justifiable right to oust the existing regime.
He emphasized this at a rally held under the theme ‘Power within the Struggle’ to demand the government to ‘Dissolve Parliament! Concede to a new mandate!’ at Ananda Samarakone Open Air Theatre at Nugegoda today (20th).
We know that today in our country, there is a government without a people’s mandate, a leader without a mandate. These rulers are not only capable of building our country’s economy, but they have no plan or vision to do so as they are the group that destroyed our country’s economy. They are a group committed to corruption and fraud. Therefore, the people of this country have a sacred and just right to come forward to oust that regime. This regime should be driven out.
We know that in the recent past, there was a huge popular uprising that brought us inspiration and stimulation. People’s groups took to the streets in various places across the country to struggle for a people’s rule that would solve the problems of our people. In the last two or three months, we have seen the largest mass mobilization in recent history in Sri Lanka. That struggle succeeded in removing the head of the Rajapaksa camp. The mass uprising succeeded in removing President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Minister Chamal Rajapaksa, Minister Namal Rajapaksa and Minister Shashendra Rajapaksa. But the Rajapakse camp’s trunk remained in the Parliament. Therefore, a new head was attached to the Rajapaksa trunk – the Ranil Rajapaksa head.
Now the country is clearly divided into two camps. One is the Ranil Rajapaksa camp. This camp is a group consisting of Ranil, Rajapaksas, criminals, crooks and others. There is also a group of people sitting on the fence. They are those who have become ‘independent’. Also, many people in Sajith’s group are also on the fence. That is one camp. That camp does not exist on the people’s will but on the 134 skulls of the parliament. That camp depends on the existing constitution. Within this constitution, they have been able to establish a constitutional power. Besides, that camp depends on various privileges. Next week, many ministers are scheduled to take the oath. That camp depends on wasting billions of people’s money by offering additional positions. There was only one member of the UNP in Parliament. All those who contested the last parliament from that party lost. Now the losers are in the camp. They are offering blessings to themselves and those around them. Next, Ranil Wickramasinghe thinks that his existence depends on repression. History has ended that kind of staying in power. Ranil’s tactics were tried decades ago. Ranil Wickramasinghe cannot protect the chair by further intimidating and terrorizing the country, suppressing social activists, suppressing political activists,” National People’s Force leader said Anura Dissanayake, the Leader of the NPP addressed the rally.
