PNS Taimur arrives at Colombo Port

The Chinese built PNS Taimur, is making its maiden voyage from China to join the Pakistan Navy's fleet and arrives in Colombo after being denied permission by the Bangladesh government to dock at Chattogram Port.

India has kept a close eye on the arrival of the ship, after voicing concerns of the Chinese research ship - Yuan Wang 5 making a port call to Hambantota.

Amid concerns, Sri Lanka had requested China to defer the port call, amid much criticism.
