Samantha Power tells what awaits Sri Lanka after IMF agreement
Samantha Power, head of the US Agency for International Development, says that once the staff-level agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is signed as a complete agreement, Sri Lankans may have to make tough sacrifices.
She also mentions that in each of these steps, countries like the United States stand up for the Sri Lankan people and do not allow them to be isolated in implementing those drastic reorganizations.
Meanwhile, she further mentions that it is sad that China has not yet supported Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring process.
