The Sri Lanka Army has successfully refurbished 76 previously unserviceable vehicles, as part of the Clean Sri Lanka initiative.

The move is expected to save the government nearly Rs. 10 million per month in rental expenses or import expenses.

Under the direction of Army Commander Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, this fleet of Army vehicles has been fully restored to motorable condition by technicians of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME).

The refurbished fleet includes trucks, buses, water bowsers, Uni-Buffel vehicles, cabs, ambulances, vans, and gully bowsers, all of which had been out of service for an extended period.
