United Nations officials have issued a report and issued a strong warning stating that Sri Lanka is currently sinking into a devastating economic, social and humanitarian crisis.
In this regard, a report was also issued on July 09, and the food security crisis in Sri Lanka has been emphasized as its main point. It has been revealed with information that emergency humanitarian aid has to be provided for 5.7 million people as a result of the economic crisis.
These 5.7 million people are the people who fell into poverty due to the current economic collapse. Before that, approximately 1.7 million people had been in extreme poverty.
