Sri Lanka has reached hyperinflation
Economists point out that Sri Lanka’s inflation is continuously increasing, and now it has become a “hyperinflation” situation.
This was emphasized by almost all the economists who joined the ‘Sirasa Mawatha’ programme last night (18th). In the meantime, Central Bank of Sri Lanka Governor Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe has predicted that inflation will be around 70% by September.
International analysts have pointed out that there is a much higher value than the inflation figures presented according to the official data of this country. In particular, Prof. Steve Hank of John Hopkins University has continued to point out that it will exceed the 100% mark
