Sri Lanka’s inflation rises to 2.1% in September

The Railway Department has announced that train services on the Upcountry Railway Line will remain suspended until 12.00 noon tomorrow (Oct. 22) due to adverse weather conditions.
As a result, the postal train scheduled for tonight will also not operate.

Train services from Colombo have been restricted to Rambukkana, while trains from Badulla – Colombo will operate only up to Peradeniya.

Main line train services delayed due to signal failure

Train services along the main line were delayed today (Oct. 21) due to a signal failure near Hunupitiya railway station, the Department of Railways has confirmed.

Meanwhile, the slow train scheduled from Colombo Fort to Chilaw at 9.35 am today, was also cancelled.

Consequently, the return service from Chilaw to Colombo Fort at 12.40 pm will also not operate.
