A Swedish female tourist in Sri Lanka is reportedly stranded in the Kataragama area with no money and overstaying her visa.

The woman, identified as Amira Inga Mary Dewey, had arrived in the country last September and is currently staying near the Kataragama sacred premises, according to reports.

She is said to be surviving on fruits offered by devotees and Muruthen Pujawa offered by the Devalaya.

It has been reported that she lost her money after being deceived by tourist guides.
