A report by the Auditor General has revealed that with the spread of the Corona epidemic in Sri Lanka, the aid and donations given to the Ministry of Health and the institutions under it by foreign governments, institutions, various organizations, and individuals have not been included in the financial statements.
According to the report, financial assistance of Rs.1,949 million was received. In addition, in the years 2020 and 2021, 162,465 sets of various health goods, including medicines and medical equipment, were received, but their assessed values were not included in the financial statements.
These facts are included in the Auditor General’s report regarding the 2021 annual report of the Ministry of Finance.
