Ranil to finance “White Horse” in China

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who was on a visit to China, has promised to provide financial support for the resumption of the construction work of the temple known as the “White Horse” located there, according to an announcement by the Presidential Media Unit.
He made this promise on the 19th when he met the head of the temple, Ven. Yin Lee.

It is further stated that the construction of this temple was started by the then Speaker Karu Jayasuriya when Ranil Wickremesinghe was the Prime Minister from 2015 to 2019. Interestingly, Sri Lanka, which has declared bankruptcy, promises to provide aid for construction in foreign countries.
