British High Commissioner meets NPP leader

A meeting between the British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Mr Andrew Patrick and the leader of the National People’s Power, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, has taken place at J.V.P. head office today (22) afternoon.
Mr Tom Soper, the first secretary of the political department of the British High Commission and Vijitha Herath, the National Executive member of the NPP, were also present.
The current economic and political situation in Sri Lanka was discussed at length by both sides. The undemocratic behaviour of the government in not holding elections was brought to special attention by the members of the National People’s Power.
