A meeting between the economic and political representatives of the British High Commission in Sri Lanka and the representatives of the National People’s Power Economic Council was held today (19) at Pelawatta J.V.P. Held at the main office.
In this meeting, due to the socio-economic crisis Sri Lanka is facing, the problems confronted by the business sector of Sri Lanka and the economic difficulties faced by the people were discussed at length. Attention was also paid to the policy approaches of the National People’s Power in solving the economic crisis.
British High Commission’s First Secretary for Economic Affairs Matthew Wordingham, Second Secretary for Political Affairs Alex Smith and Political Advisor Neluni Thilakaratne participated, and on behalf of the National People’s Power Economic Council, National Executive Member Professor Anil Jayantha, Dr Harshana Suriyapperuma and National Executive Member Muditha Nanayakkara were present.
