Unemployed graduates meet Anura
A group of unemployed graduates met NPP leader Anura Disanayaka at the JVP head office today (8).
Delegates representing unemployed graduates from all the provinces and districts of Sri Lanka were present. They presented the NPP leader with a number of problems they were facing.
Also, the policy of the NPP was discussed at length.
The group paid particular attention to the NPP’s approach to solving the problems faced by unemployed graduates, providing insight into the party’s proposed solutions.
Unemployed graduates raised issues such as non-granting of jobs for 5 years, various restrictions when recruiting as teachers, issues regarding the age limit of graduates, and the fact that it has been declared that they are unable to provide jobs.
Presidential candidate Anura Dissanayake has indicated that the first budget of the NPP plans to provide jobs to all graduates, make necessary recruitments in information technology, and make necessary recruitments in teaching.
Also, long-term solutions for problems, including the unemployment of graduates, were discussed.
