The polling to elect the 9th Executive President of Sri Lanka ended at 04:00 pm today, and all the observation agencies have confirmed that the presidential election campaign has been conducted in the most peaceful manner in history.
Also, this has gone down in history as an election in which all the misdeeds carried out by using the powers of the government ministers during the election period did not take place. It has now been confirmed that various rumours about acts of violence and terrorizing the people spread by the government as well as the Sajith Premadasa group are false.
There was no room for thug politicians, especially as this presidential election was not held for the rulers’ needs but for the people’s needs and on the basis of public interest and dedication of the public.
