Heads appointed to three state media institutions
New Media Minister Vijitha Herath has appointed three new chairmen for National Television, Independent Television and Sri Lanka Radio Corporation.
Senior Lecturer Senesh Dissanayake Bandara has been appointed Chairman of National Television, Senior Lecturer Priyantha Vedamulla has been appointed to Independent Television, and Senior Lecturer Uditha Gayashan has been appointed to Sri Lanka Radio Corporation.
Senesh Dissanayake Bandara, Senior Lecturer of Sri Jayawardenepura University and appointed Chairman of National Television, is a film and television program director and screenwriter. He also has a bachelor’s, Master’s, and a Phd in Mass Communication.
Priyantha Vedamulla, appointed as Chairman of Independent Television Network, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sri Jayawardenepura. His professional achievements, including being a featured writer, journalist, program producer, and director, demonstrate his capabilities in the media industry.
Uditha Gayashan, a senior lecturer at the University of Kelaniya, appointed to the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, has worked as the dean of the Department of Theater and Performing Arts and Fine Arts at the University of Kelaniya. He is also the former president of Sri Lanka National Photographic Art Association.
