State governance begins with a wonderful example

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake started his rule with a three-member cabinet for the first time in Sri Lanka’s history, setting a precedent that the government can be managed even by a three-member cabinet.
A rule previously carried out by at least 8,800 people as people’s representatives has been reduced to a three-member cabinet. The three members responsible for the caretaker cabinet are the President, Anura Dissanayake, the Prime Minister, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, and Minister Vijitha Herath.
Before this, there were 225 people’s representatives in Parliament, nearly 400 people’s representatives in provincial councils and 8,325 people’s representatives in 340 local government institutions.
The general election will be held on November 14th. The new public representatives will be elected, and this three-person executive operation will continue until the Parliament meeting on the 21st.
