Korea’s Exim Bank agrees to provide financial support for development projects in Sri Lanka
Korea Exim Bank has agreed to provide financial support for the development projects of the Sri Lankan government.
Officials of Korea EXIM Bank expressed this agreement when they met with President’s Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the President’s Office today (03).
When Sri Lanka’s economy collapsed, the Korean Exim Bank suspended its financial support for development projects from 2022 to 2024. However, the Korean Exim Bank representatives told the President’s Secretary that they would provide subsidized interest loans for the re-implementation of those development projects.
They have emphasized that they hope to provide financial support for the Sri Lankan government’s economically effective programs in the future.
Korean Exim Bank Director Won-suk HA, Deputy Director Hanui Han, and Project Manager Nalin Jayatunga attended this event.
President’s Additional Secretary Roshan Gamage has also joined this event.
