UN Assistant Secretary-General meets PM – discussess education reform & public sector modernization
The United Nations has focused on modernizing the public sector through education reforms and digital transformation in this country.
This was brought to the attention when Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya and United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Kanni Wignaraja had a discussion yesterday (14) afternoon at the Prime Minister’s Office.
United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Kanni Wignaraja has also offered her best wishes to Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya.
For Sri Lanka’s sustainable development, special attention has been paid to developing cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United Nations, supporting community security, social security, educational reforms, and modernizing the public sector through digital transformation.
Prime Minister’s Secretary Pradip Saputantris, Prime Minister’s Additional Secretary Mahinda Gunaratne, United Nations Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Azusa Kubota, UNDP Digital and Innovation Team Leader Fadil Bakir and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ UN Human Rights Director General Dayani Mendis were present on this occasion.
