Investigation Launched into Alleged Expenses of Sri Lankan High Commissioner in UK
October 30, Colombo (LNW):Cabinet Spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath announced that an investigation has been initiated into allegations regarding the expenses of Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Rohitha Bogollagama.
Addressing recent reports, Minister Herath clarified that the vehicle currently used by High Commissioner Bogollagama was purchased with his own personal funds, with no government money involved in the transaction.
Herath also noted that while there are no immediate plans to recall overseas diplomats, those appointed primarily due to political affiliations will be recalled in the near future as part of an ongoing review.
