In a shocking incident in Islamabad, Superintendent of Police Adeel Akbar, 35, reportedly took his own life near the Serena Hotel while overseeing security operations. According to reports, Akbar used a subordinate's service pistol after receiving a suspicious call. He was rushed to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, but doctors were unable to save him.
Akbar, who hailed from Kamoke near Sialkot, had cleared the CSS exams in 2017, securing second place, and was considered a rising officer in Islamabad police.
