Sri Lankan team returns after shining at SASAC 2025

Three suspects, including a gunman wanted for 03 murders in the Southern Province, have been arrested yesterday (Oct. 27) with heroin worth Rs. 2.5 million in Anuradhapura.
The arrested are a 44 year-old army deserter of Nelugollewa, Horowpathana, Nelugollewa, a 40 year-old from Medawachchiya and a 30 year-old from Periyankulama, Anuradhapura.

The gunman wanted for three murders was arrested at Jaffna Junction in Anuradhapura and has been identified as a drug smuggler operating under an organised criminal hiding in Dubai.

Police have taken into custody 88 grams and 490 milligrams of heroin in possession of the suspects.

They are to be produced before the Anuradhapura magistrate’s court today.
