Soon after the attack, a disturbing video began circulating online, showing chaos near the station. The clip captured flashing police lights, several vehicles with high beams, and bystanders gathered at the scene, reflecting the tense atmosphere following the stabbings.

According to BBC, train services along the route are expected to experience major disruptions, with possible delays of up to an hour and adjustments in the schedule.

Police Response and Arrests

Authorities said the Cambridgeshire Police were alerted to a stabbing incident aboard the train heading toward Huntingdon. Officers immediately stopped the train and arrested two men in connection with the case.

While officials have not yet confirmed the exact number of victims, reports suggest that several individuals have been taken to hospitals for treatment, Sky News reported.

The British Transport Police (BTP) issued a statement confirming their support to local authorities.

"We are currently responding to an incident on a train to Huntingdon where multiple people have been stabbed. Officers are in attendance alongside @CambsCops and two people have been arrested," the BTP posted on X.

Official Update from Cambridgeshire Police

The incident, which sent shockwaves through Cambridgeshire on Sunday evening, prompted an official statement from the Cambridgeshire Police hours later. The department confirmed that armed officers responded swiftly and multiple victims were hospitalized.

"We were called at 7.39 pm with reports that multiple people had been stabbed on a train. Armed officers attended and the train was stopped at Huntingdon, where two men were arrested. A number of people have been taken to hospital," read a post on the police's X handle.

Police have urged anyone with information or footage of the attack to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
