20-ft. flood warning for Wellampitiya
An Indian rescue team arrived in the country this morning (29).
The team reached Sri Lanka aboard an Indian aircraft and consisted of four women and 76 men.
The group also includes four sniffer dogs.
They have arrived with specialised disaster-response equipment, with the aim of carrying out rapid rescue operations for those affected by the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the country.
