August 02, Colombo (LNW): The Indian cricket team is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka on August 04 as preparations gather pace for a two-match Test series against the hosts later this month.
As part of their build-up, India will take part in a three-day warm-up fixture beginning on August 07 at the NCC Grounds in Colombo. The practice match has been shortened by a day from the four-day contest that had originally been planned, providing the visitors with valuable match time before the series gets under way.
The opening Test will be staged at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from August 15 to 19, with the second and final encounter scheduled to take place at the SSC Ground in Colombo from August 23 to 27.
