Sri Lankan Consulate to Hold Two-Day Mobile Service in Bern

Source

August 11, Colombo (LNW): The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Switzerland is set to bring its consular services closer to the Sri Lankan community in Bern and surrounding areas through a special two-day mobile service later this month.

The Consular Mobile Service will take place on August 29 and 30, 2026, at Haus Der Religionen, Europaplatz 1, 3008 Bern. Services will be available from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on both days.

The initiative is intended to make essential consular assistance more convenient for Sri Lankan expatriates living in Bern and neighbouring areas, reducing the need for them to travel to the Consulate General for routine services.

The Consulate has advised Sri Lankans who require consular assistance to arrange appointments in advance, preferably on or before August 27, as the mobile service will operate for a limited period and appointment availability may be restricted.

Those seeking further details or wishing to reserve an appointment can contact the Consulate General via email at [email protected] or by telephone on +41 77 990 6073 or +41 77 909 8969.

The Consulate said the mobile service is part of its efforts to improve access to consular assistance for Sri Lankan nationals residing outside Geneva and to provide services directly within communities where there is a significant Sri Lankan population.
