August 11, Colombo (LNW): Passport-related services at Sri Lanka’s Department of Immigration and Emigration have returned to normal following a technical failure that disrupted its computer system earlier today.
Department Media Spokesperson Mahesh Karunadasa confirmed that the malfunction, which occurred this morning, has been resolved and the affected system is now operating normally.
The technical issue temporarily interrupted passport issuance services, causing a short-term disruption for members of the public seeking to obtain or process passports.
Officials said normal operations have resumed after the computer system was successfully restored.
