Source

Sri Lanka Customs has appointed a special committee to recommend a solution for vehicles imported through letters of credit (LCs) but subsequently denied final customs clearance.

The committee has been tasked with reviewing the issues surrounding the affected vehicle imports and making recommendations on an appropriate solution.

The move comes amid concerns over vehicles that were imported under valid letters of credit but have not been granted final customs clearance.
