The European Union Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Carmen Moreno, met with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya on the 18th  at the Prime Minister’s Office in Colombo.
The meeting confirmed the solid and long-standing relationship between the European Union and Sri Lanka.
Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has emphasized the importance of the continuous support the European Union has given with the GSP+ trade scheme, which has helped increase Sri Lanka’s exports.
The prime minister has further stated that her government aims to increase foreign investment by eliminating corruption and strengthening institutions such as the Board of Investment.
