A severe blow to all Sri Lankans

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has released official figures showing the massive collapse in the lives of all Sri Lankans.
A report released on April 06 reveals that the per capita tangible income of Sri Lankans (the income that can be used to purchase goods and services) has fallen by 73,000 rupees between 2019 and the end of 2023.
It further states that the 2019 per capita tangible income was 650,709 rupees. It has been revealed that it has dropped to 532,646 rupees by the end of 2023.
It has been revealed that the total gross domestic product of the country has dropped from 13,206 billion rupees in 2019 to 11,881 billion rupees by the end of 2023.
