Europe, the Gulf, and North America have not become impossible—but they have moved into a bracket that only the top end of the outbound-travel segment can absorb. For households who saved ₹1.5–2L for a family holiday, these are simply not options this summer.
Gulf (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha)
Was the most accessible international trip for Indian families. Hyderabad–Dubai fares have gone from ₹12–15K to ₹40–50K. The value proposition that made it popular has evaporated.
Europe (UK, France, Germany)
Minimum ₹85K–1.5L airfare per person. A Europe trip for a family of three now starts at ₹3L+ before hotels. This was aspirational before—it is now out of reach for most of that aspiration.
US and Canada
Fares at ₹1.2–2.2L per person, with flights extended by up to 5 hours due to rerouting. Always an expensive destination—now prohibitively so for all but the wealthiest travellers.

Southeast Asia corridors are operating at near-normal cost structures. Any route transiting the Gulf or requiring Pakistani overflight carries both higher fares and real cancellation risk.
