National People’s Power revealed in a press conference held today (25) that it will establish an independent election observation centre.
Retired officers of the Sri Lankan Administrative Service and former Senior Inspectors of Police, activists of the Retired Police Collective, who joined the press conference, emphasized that though the National People’s Power established the observation centre, it will operate as an independent body.
It was emphasized that this centre would cover all 24 districts of the island and intervene on behalf of the necessary legal actions to confirm the people’s free and peaceful voting rights.
