French authorities have made a major breakthrough in one of the most audacious jewel thefts in modern history. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the $102 million Louvre Museum heist.

French authorities arrested two individuals in connection with the $102 million Louvre Museum heist, a major breakthrough in the investigation; the men, in their early thirties, were apprehended at Charles de Gaulle Airport and Seine-Saint-Denis.
The case has attracted worldwide attention since the jewels vanished from the prestigious Paris landmark. According to Le Parisien, both suspects were detained on Saturday evening and are currently being questioned by investigators.
Arrests Mark Major Step in Ongoing Investigation
The arrests represent a critical turning point in the extensive probe launched by French law enforcement. Authorities have not yet released the suspects' identities, citing the confidential nature of the continuing investigation.
Sources close to the case told Le Parisien, "The suspects are being questioned to determine their exact role in the operation." Police officials are also working to trace other possible accomplices involved in the theft.
Suspects Caught While Attempting to Flee
One of the men was apprehended around 10 p.m. on Saturday at Charles de Gaulle Airport while allegedly trying to leave the country. He was immediately detained and transferred to police custody for interrogation.
The second suspect was captured later the same night in Seine-Saint-Denis, a northern suburb of Paris. Both men, reportedly in their early thirties, remain under custody as questioning continues.
Gang Behind $102 Million Heist
Investigators suspect the two arrested individuals were part of a four-member gang that carried out the daring Louvre robbery. The operation reportedly involved sophisticated planning and insider knowledge of museum security systems.
The thieves made off with jewels worth around $102 million, making it one of Europe's largest museum thefts in recent history. Authorities continue searching for the remaining suspects still at large.
